
Amy Caryn Warneka, Partner
Amy Caryn Warneka is Partner and President of IPASS
(Interactive Personal and Security Simulations) Consulting. She has over
20 years of experience in Military and Defense applications, Defense
Contracting services, Information and Virtual Technology, Health care
and Business services. She began her career as a U.S. Army Lieutenant
serving as a computer programmer, participating in intelligence and
information technology assignments on Ethernet systems.
After
earning her degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland,
Ms. Warneka continued on to complete a degree in Biology from the
University of Kentucky, to serve in IT defense roles, and provide
business services within the medical field.
Currently, Ms.
Warneka is working on her Ph.D. at Purdue University specializing in
Virtual Collaboration and the use of virtual simulations in educational
and business applications. With the creation of IPASS, she now assists
organizations in health care, military and defense, as well as other
businesses wishing to become compliant with Homeland Security
Initiatives that create a presence in virtual environments and expand an
organizations global trade.
Ms. Warneka frequently presents her
virtual world research at professional conferences and society
meetings. She has
also participated in ground breaking medical/pharmaceutical testing and
research using virtual technolgy. In her role as a teacher at Purdue
University, Ms. Warneka has directly assimilated over 1500 students into
virtual worlds, introducing students and future business entrepreneurs
to the potentials of virtual technology.

Dr. Homan is currently an associate professor in Technology Leadership and Innovation at Purdue University. Prior to his appointment to the Purdue faculty he was a professor of human resource management in Northwest Nazarene University MBA program in Nampa, Idaho. Professor Homan earned his Ph.D. in Educational Human Resource Development at Texas A&M University. He also holds a Masters degree in Industrial Technology and a Bachelors degree in Supervision both from Purdue University. Professor Homan participates in leading edge research in the field of workforce development. Dr. Homan has also worked for Andersen Consulting (Change Management Services, Chicago WHQ Office) and the United States Department of Agriculture (New England and Indiana). Dr. Homan also contributes weekly to the Wall Street Journal's ProfessorJournal.com initiative in the field of Information Technology.
